though it quite certainly is something
and we shan’t be disingenuous
that’d make this whole thing quite tenuous
what do you mean when you say forever?
do you mean the very opposite of never?
as in happily ever after?
forever merriment and laughter?
or do you mean forever forever?
hands clasped through every endeavor
together through thick and thin?
together through ice and wind?
a time capsule is forever
it keeps in all conditions whenever
do you think you’d agree?
would you build one with me?
past promises are haunting
their broken pieces are daunting
are they now less special?
did the past ruin their potential?
you said it was about intentions
about setting common directions
you prefer action, so that can’t be true
